Newent Christmas Tree Competition

Each year, 186 (Newent) squadron takes part in Newent’s Christmas Tree Competition at St Mary’s Church. The entries are judged before deciding on the places.

In the RAF’s centenary year, the 186 Squadron tree is aptly decorated with red, white and blue tinsel and same coloured planes, made by the cadets out of clothes pegs and ice-cream sticks.

Well done to the cadets for getting into the festive spirit and working hard to help raise the profile of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets in their local community.
