Jake, a former pupil of Kings School, Ottery St Mary in Devon, joined Honiton Air Cadets six years ago.  He has an extensive list of achievements: both flying and gliding scholarships, in 2013, numerous RAF stations camps in the UK and abroad, participation in a range of sports and adventure training activities, including canoeing, kayaking and surfing, and achieved his Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award in 2012 having taken part in an expedition to the Black Mountains of Wales. Music continues to play a large part in Jake’s Air Cadet life, being as a founder member and former Drum Major of the Devon Somerset Wing ATC Band.   Jake said: “I have had so many opportunities and a fantastic time as an Air Cadet and, as an Instructor Cadet, I have been able to give something back to the younger cadets at the squadron.” Jake is due to leave Air Cadets later this year and hopes to pursue a career in marine engineering. Pope, Officer Commanding Devon Somerset Air Cadets, said “We are all very proud of CWO Rosen’s achievements: he sets a great example to our younger members and has participated in the full range of training activities and opportunities which Air Cadets can now experience.” ENDS   Photo 1 – CWO Rosen leading the Wing Band.
