What better way to end an academic year!

2013-08-08 15.20.26-1   A CALL to the SOUTH WEST REGION's DofE GOLD RESIDENTIAL COURSE in JULY 2014 Extracts from an invitation by the South West Region's DofE Officer to a gold residential in July 2014 for our over 16 year old cadets. "I am arranging our inaugural Gold DofE Residential multi activity course. All cadets and staff under 25 who are enrolled in the award before the start of this course can apply for one of the sought after places! "This letter is an open invite to Gold Award participants in our Region to attend this tented, 5-day, residential, activity based, event in Cornwall from 10th July, dispersing on 14th July 2014. "Travel is to be arranged by participants.  Arrangements will be made for cadets issued with rail/ coach warrants by their Wing HQ to be picked up from the nearest railway/ coach station. "Participants will expect to experience climbing, cycling and navigational challenges, gain kayak and canoe coaching skills, and complete the 'Introduction to DofE Training' course. "The cost of the course will be £80. "The residential rules as laid out in ACTO74 will apply in that only 2 cadets per squadron can attend on this activity. "Applications are to be submitted by the 15th May 2014. "The first 20 cadets applying and sending their money and consent forms to P&C Wing HQ, RAF St.Mawgan will be guaranteed a place.
