Qualified Aerospace Instructors Course – are you ready?

..... a contribution by Squadron Leader Robert Westerberg MRAeS, RAFVR(T), QAIC Director, South West Regional Activity Centre, Boscombe Down.   Preparations are well underway for the next Qualified Aerospace Instructors Course (QAIC). Are you preparing or ready for QAIC 7?     QAIC is one of the Air Cadet Organisations premier courses, aimed at older cadets (16+) with a deep interest in aerospace and, ideally, wanting to develop a career in one of the many aspects of the aerospace industry. The course is not for the faint hearted.  It places a heavy expectation on students from the outset, commitment to every training weekend, periodic examinations and a reasonable amount of work to complete in between weekends. The rewards however are there for the taking, including an Institute of Leadership and Management Level 2 award and formal recognition by one of the world’s major aerospace bodies, the Royal Aeronautical Society. Keep an eye out, application paperwork will be sent to all squadrons via your respective Wing Headquarters towards the end of June.   ENDS
