HRH Prince Edward, Duke of Kent opens new squadron building

IMG_3406 [caption id="attachment_5041" align="aligncenter" width="300"]HRH Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, Opens 2467 (Nailsea) Squadron HRH Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, Opens 2467 (Nailsea) Squadron[/caption] Air Cadets from 2467 (Nailsea) Squadron, Bristol & Gloucestershire Wing now "OFFICIALLY" have their new building after it was opened on the 15 May 2014 by HRH Prince Edward, Duke of Kent. He arrived accompanied by the Lord Lieutenant of Somerset, Lady Gass, and was shown around the new facilities of this state of the Art squadron by Flying Officer Nicholas Cunnington RAFVR(T) and Wing Commander David Cox RAFVR(T). Major Stuart Mejers, CEO of the Southwest Army Cadets said the "Range is the best facility in the Uk for training and shooting and is recognised as such." CI Jason Reis, the Squadron Adjutant, was taking a range practice just before the Duke and his entourage arrived at the range building. The Duke spent approx 1 hour visiting before declaring it open before flying back to Buckingham Palace in the Queen's Private Helicopter. The Squadron was joined by Group Captain Remlinger RAFR for the visit and he signed some certificates for those cadets who took part in the day.
